Lubricants

Today there are a variety of personal lubricants available to meet almost any individual taste. Some people prefer thicker rather than thinner, some people prefer water based over silicone based, and some people are loyal to particular manufacturers and are not even willing to try anything new. We recognize this and hope to give our customers a brief description of those products available so that they can make an informed decision. Most lubricants fall into three categories: Oil Based, Water Based, Silicone Based and Flavored. Descriptions of the four are as follows:

Oil-Based Lubricants
Oil-based lubricants are not latex friendly, and may cause the latex in both condoms and latex sex toys to degrade. It is recommended that if you use an oil-based lube while engaging in a sexual act that you use non-latex products like Polyurethane condoms. However, the advantage of oil-based lubes is that they generally last longer and they are relatively easy to clean off.

Water-Based Lubes
Water-based lubricants are a key component in the practice of safe sex. Unlike oil or petroleum based products, water-based lubricants are latex friendly, which means they will not degrade latex. When used in concert with latex condoms it can help a partner achieve an additional level of comfort while still not degrading the condom in any way.

Silicone Based Lubricants
Like water-based lubricants silicone based lubricants are latex friendly, and will not encourage latex to tear. The principal difference between silicone based lubricants and a water-based lubricant is that it never dries. The inclusion of silicone in the formula allows the lubricant to remain slick, even under water. For those seeking a long-lasting product, then a silicone based lubricant is the safe alternative to oil or petroleum based products that can degrade latex.

Flavored Lubricants
Flavored lubricants are water-based and latex-friendly! With a variety of great flavors to choose from, flavored lubricants are extremely popular. They do however have a tendency to get somewhat tacky but that’s because the same stuff that makes them taste good also causes them to get a bit sticky. But the trade off is, they can be a lot of fun to lick off your partner!

Condoms
It would be irresponsible for HerSexToyBox.com not to promote safe sex. For that reason we offer a variety of condoms to match almost every taste, style, and size. For those who have an allergic reaction to latex we also offer poly-urethane condoms. (They can also be used with latex sex toys to prevent any allergic reaction.) We think the saying, “No Glove – No Love” is a good motto for everyone to follow. Be Safe!
